Novelty 2026: The large side panels and smooth roof of the BR 152 embody locomotive construction of the 1990s. The PIKO model in 1:160 scale reproduces this overall appearance excellently. Great attention was also paid to the details during construction: the clean roof area is crowned by two finely crafted single-arm pantographs made of metal. The flush-mounted windows provide a clear view into the driver""s cab, while the delicate, freestanding windshield wipers underline the fine detailing of the model. Separately attached handrails, the intricately designed bogies, and the prototypical printing complete the external impression perfectly.

Technically, the BR 152 also impresses, offering high pulling power and smooth running, making it ideal for use with prototypical freight trains. The red/white light change is, of course, executed with modern LED technology. On the tidy circuit board, a Next18 interface is available for easy retrofitting of a PIKO digital decoder, enabling the activation of additional digital functions.
