Information about the model
These carriages shared a common underframe and a raised brakeman's cab, and were used, along with similar designs, for express trains in Prussia, and sometimes also abroad. After the First World War, the majority remained with the Deutsche Reichsbahn (German National Railway) and continued to be used in express train service. From 1930 onwards, there were so many more modern carriages that the four-axle compartment carriages were gradually transferred to regular passenger trains; many later ended up with the Deutsche Bundesbahn (German Federal Railway).
