Prototype
The Apfelpfeil (Apple Arrow) was a colorful private holiday train that carried vacation travelers across Germany and neighboring European countries during the 1970s and 1980s. The train featured a unique mix of couchette, restaurant, cinema, lounge, panoramic, and baggage coaches, making it one of the most distinctive excursion trains of the Era IV period. This set recreates the first section of the train and can be combined with AC55234 (Set 2) and AC55235 (Set 3) to assemble the complete Apfelpfeil consist.
