Product Features and Details
New for 2026: The Dutch State Railways' Class 1000 electric locomotives are based on the SBB Ae 4/6.
Unlike the Swiss locomotives, they were designed for the Dutch DC network, not AC. Originally intended for express train service between major Dutch cities, they were used almost exclusively for freight trains during their service life between 1948 and 1982. Of the ten locomotives built, only number 1010 survives and can be seen at the Railway Museum in Utrecht.
Digital switching of cab and engine room lighting via retrofitting a digital decoder | Two metal pantographs | Authentic paintwork and lettering | The electric locomotive has a PluX22 interface and is prepared for easy retrofitting with sound and the largest possible speaker.
