Product Features and Details
The servo decoder is a decoder for controlling model railway servos, which are used for the precise operation of moving parts on model railway layouts. These can include, for example, PIKO underfloor turnout drives #55272, engine shed doors, semaphore signals, level crossings, water cranes in engine sheds, swings in playgrounds, etc. Thanks to its special electronics, the servo decoder can be controlled digitally or analogously and can implement individually adjustable, slow movements. In addition to switching addresses, the settings include further options for each servo output, such as adjustable holding positions, the actuation time (speed), and effects such as a bounce function for level crossings or G-type semaphore signals. Programming is done digitally via CV programming on the programming track or main track (POM). Alternatively, programming can also be carried out in analog operation using a control panel. In digital operation, the decoder works in DCC format with RailCom or in MM format. To provide feedback on a servo's end position, the servo decoder sends this information via RailCom to a suitably equipped digital command station (e.g., PIKO SmartControlwlan). The servo decoder is updateable via the PIKO SmartProgrammer and PIKO SmartControlwlan.
