Prototype: The 05 was the largest and fastest German express locomotive. In 1936 during the Olympics in Berlin it beat the world speed record reaching a speed on 124.5mph. Model: This model is only available in Digital, it features a high efficiency propulsion decoder and motor, 3 powered axles with 2 traction tires. Sound effects module includes syncronized steam engine sound, prototypical whistle, and braking. Locomotive and tender are all metal construction. Locomotive can be equipped with 7226 smoke unit. All functions controlled via Marklin 6021 digital control unit. This model is very limited, available in late 2004.
