After 15 years manufacturing time and over 600,000 sold vehicles, VW presented the successor model and therefore the second generation of the family van at the international motor show in Geneva. Instead of the previous normal doors, Volkswagen now equipped the Sharan with two sliding doors on the sides. Compared to the first generation, the new one is 22 cm longer and 9.2 cm wider.
