    In August 2016, Scania introduced its new tractor in Sweden. With sharper edges and the interplay of light and shade on the revised cab, the designers matched the look to the current design era. Herpa was given the plans of the new Scania beforehand, and developed an exact 1/87 scale model under utmost secrecy parallel with the development department of Scania. The model is introduced almost simultaneously with the original.
