Prototype: Electric locomotive series 254 of the Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR-Ost). Epoch IV.
Model: in true to the original livery and lettering. In-plane applied windows. Metal die-cast chassis. Motor with flywheel. Drive on four axles. Taction tyres. Interface according to NEM 651 standards for the installation of a digital decoder. Triple headlights that change with the direction of travel.
The electric locomotives of the BR E 94 that had remained in the DR after the war were disrespectfully called „Eisenschwein” (iron pig). No matter that they were the backbone of the goods traffic in the DR for the longest time. A notable difference to the DB version were the red painted bogies. The locomotives operated for the DR until 1990.
