Model: equipped with in-built load sensing digital decoder and true to the original sound functions from factory. Model in true to the original livery and lettering. One way side windows. Metal die-cast chassis. 5-pole motor with flywheel. Drive on four axles and two traction tyres. Coupler pocket according to NEM 355 standards and guide mechanism. White and red LED triple headlights that change with the direction of travel. The headlights of the locomotive can be partially or even entirely switched off with a microswitch.
In August 2017, the Deutsche Bahn AG concluded a framework agreement with the company Siemens for up to 100 new multi-system locomotives for the DB Cargo. 60 locomotives were delivered immediately. The locomotives which are equipped with ETCS are intended to be used on the Rhine-Alpine corridor in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, the Netherlands and - from 2020 on - in Belgium.
