The locomotives of the class 23 were passenger train locomotives of the Deutsche Bundesbahn. From 1950, 105 copies of the newly designed series were built. The VSM has two locomotives of the 23 series. The 23 076 was the first 23 to arrive at the VSM in 1976, followed by the 23 071 in 1978. Both locomotives are operational.
