    Unfortunately I have had numerous bad experiences with these and have replaced several (in total or in part) for various reasons including: 1. If a small piece of ballast / scenery / dirt etc gets into the little hole at the end of the blades it can suddenly cause your locos to derail. Alternatively the switching may work as normal but it may cause a power shortage further down the track (the source of which can be very difficult to detect esp if there are other similar switches). 2. The switch can become jammed if any glue / adhesive used for nearby scenery comes between the plastic and the metal plate on the underneath. Otherwise the switches perform quite well however the componentary is fickle and delicate.
