Based on:
The Prussian G 8.1, Class 55.25-56 was a very important class of loco on the former Deutsche Reichsbahn. Goods trains and heavy shunting duties were their main domain. Even the Bundesbahn couldn't do without the G8's for a long time. The prototype of our model comes from the later style of construction (from 1915) typified by the feed valves situated between the raised sandbox and the steam dome.
