Product Features and Details
The basic type of a wide range of commercial vehicles from the 5t working mass class from Ludwigsfelde was the flatbed vehicle W50L. Developed since 1965 and constantly further developed, the 2-axle front linkage has proved itself with domestic and foreign customers. With the W50L Sp forwarding vehicle, the wishes of customers were met for a commercial vehicle with an increased loading area for the transport of pallets and bulky goods. Compared to the W50L flatbed vehicle, the forwarding vehicle has a longer flatbed with raised front wall and divided side walls. The brickyard east of Berlin in Herzfelde was founded in 1880. The runways were important from the beginning to transport materials. In 1958, all Herzfelder brickworks were dispossessed and put together in the »VEB Ziegelwerke Herzfelde«. Shortly thereafter, the big business enterprise received the "Red Banner" award. When the clay deposits were slowly exhausted in the early 1980s, most of the ring kilns were decommissioned. For the rest of the operation, trucking was used for the transport of raw materials and the field train operation was reduced. As far as it was possible, it was also possible to organize the in-house transport, eg spare parts for the field railways, with the existing trucks.
