Brassline's new model is simply exquisite. It is handmade completely out of brass. Model is equipped with a powerful brushless ironless motor with flywheel, extensive detail, full cab interior with cab illumination, directional lighting and much more. Model is very limited only 60 were produced worldwide and we only have a few to sell.
Prototype: The French SNCF Class 141TA were built between 1911 and 1921. Five Locomotive producers were commissioned to build the class 141's, they were SLM Winterthur, Fives-Lille, Batignolles, North British and Schneider. These powerful 2-8-2's were very sucessful locomotives and were assigned to many different services. Many were used in mountainous areas because they were able haul a 200 ton train up a 3.5 % grade at a constant speed of 30 kmh. The 141TA's were also used in commuter and freight service. These locomotives were so successful that they stayed in service until the 1970's.
