Axel Springer's favorite child: The L 319 under the sign of the "IMAGE"
Axel Springer made politics, was expansive - above all by the "IMAGE". In the 1960s, several vans were traveling at the publishing sites in Berlin, Hamburg, Essen and Frankfurt. This also included the Mercedes-Benz L 319, which WIKING devoted to a model-building monument. With the logo of the "BILD", the origin of the Mercedes-Benz L 319 was unmistakable. The series, which was developed with a permissible total weight of up to 3.9 tonnes, was presented at the IAA in 1965, so that from now on, the models could be ordered as vans for delivery traffic. In 1967, the last L 319 was released in Düsseldorf.
