Prototype: Italian Ferrovie Emilia Romagna (FER) class D 220 heavy diesel hydraulic locomotive. The former German Federal Railroad (DB) class 220 was sold to Italy after being retired from service. Use: Medium and heavy freight trains.
Model: The frame is constructed of die-cast metal. The locomotive has a 14-pin digital connector. It also has a motor with a flywheel. 4 axles powered. 2 traction tires. The locomotive has close coupler mechanisms. Length over the buffers 115 mm / 4-1/2".
