    The series E 626 was the first standard locomotive for the 3-kVDirect Current System at the Italian State Railway. The machine was ordered at Tecnomasio Italiano/BBC and was based on the E 625 series. This locomotive was used primarily in front of passenger and freight trains and operated all over Italy, in the North as well as in the South. This old-timer was was still in service for freight trains at the Italian State Railway until 1999. Roco brings this distinctive and amongst the Italian electric locomotives best known machine as a new design in H0 on the market.
