    Diesel-electric double locomotive D311.01 of the Deutsche Wehrmacht (German Armed Forces). Edition model! - Double locomotive formed from two units fixed-coupled to each other; both units are equipped with a full engine or sound decoder - Full reproduction of the transition area between the two units - Elaborately reproduced engine room - Finely-detailed model with many separately attached plug-in parts - Large socket on front ends - Frame trims with 8 sandboxes each - With blackout lamps - Headlights on each side can be switched off separately - Top headlight at front and rear separately switchable - Perforated roof fan design - Digital version with motor-driven fans - Driver’s cab, driver’s console and control box lighting as well as engine room lighting switchable in digital mode - “Dynamic Sound” package for improved depth of sound In 1941 and 1942, a total of four type D 311 double locomotives were put into service by the Deutsche Wehrmacht. The D 311.01 a/b, also known as “Walli”, was used on the Crimean peninsula. Along with its sister engine, the D 311.02 a/b “Dora”, it manoeuvred the largest railroad gun ever built. The locomotives D 311.03 and 04 were intended for use with the “Schwerer Gustav 2” gun, and were probably put into service in West Germany. The fifth and sixth double locomotives were ordered from Krupp, but ultimately could not be built due to war events.
