The 2D2 9100 GRG2 Electric Locomotive features a DCC interface, can motor with flywheel, all metal frame, bi-directional prototypical lighting and all wheel drive. Model has extensive detail and great running performance.
New construction Locomotive with spoke wheels
Prototype: In 1951 and 1952 these machines were put into operation for the most important French route from Paris to Lyon. They were to be used for hauling express trains at 140 km/h. Although the silhouette has a relatively modern appearance, the technology of this locomotive stems from the Twenties. Therefore it was not long before the machines were replaced by more modern locomotives from top class services. They nevertheless remained in operation until the end of 1993.
