The Class 657 Steam Locomotive features a DCC interface, can motor with flywheel, all metal frame, bi-directional prototypical lighting and all wheel drive. Model has extensive detail and great running performance. This is a new version of the model, with a new traction system and digital interface.
Prototype: After the war, 96 of the Prussian G10 locomotives (later DRG class 57) remained with the Austrian Railway ÖBB. These were used as class 657 in light freight train and shunting services. The last of these locomotives was taken out of service in 1968. One locomotive at ÖGEG has remained in operational condition to date. This is a new version of the model, with a new traction system and digital interface.
