Novelty 2024: Form variant of the S499.02 in the version of the Rh 242 CSD in Era V. The model takes into account all the specific features of the chosen model. As with the original, the S499.02 also represents a further development of the legendary Laminatka in the model. The locomotive body with the eye-catching air band, whose engraving in the model conveys the highest level of plasticity, was precisely reproduced. The engine room windows above are perfectly aligned. A special feature is the edging of the front windows, which is accommodated by separately inserted frames at a scale of 1:87. Apart from the external qualities, the model is also technically impressive. Among the lighting functions, the chassis lighting with the filigree lamp glass is particularly noteworthy. In the model, which is factory-equipped with a PSD XP sound decoder, lighting in the driver's cab, the instrument panels and the engine room can also be switched. The model bears the fits mfx quality mark. In order to make digital decoders reliably usable for all users of the current Marklin digital centers, a new quality mark fits mfx was introduced together with Marklin and other manufacturers. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone a special mfx test and have passed it completely. These decoders and the locomotives in which they are installed bear the fits mfx quality mark, which certifies the unrestricted mfx functionality. This means that PIKO products with the “fits mfx†logo now fully support the diverse functions of mfx.
