Model & Prototype Information
Prototype: The RENFE 333.3 and 333.4 class locomotives are the modernized version of the well known Renfe 333 class diesel-electric locomotives of the 1970s. Originally, ninety-three class 333 locomotives were built in Spain by Macosa under GM license. They were (and are) used as power for heavy freight and passenger trains. In the early 2000s some 333s were rebuilt by Alstom into 333.3 and 333.4 class locomotives, and they now operate for both RENFE and private train companies as well.
