Station of the future as a single edition! A ground station building with travel center, waiting lounge and service facilities Wittenberg based on original plans of DB Station & Service AG. Functionality, stay quality and appearance of the building will be improved by a landmark package of measures: while green roofs, large expanses of glass and building materials from renewable resources, such as shale or clinker, characterize the appearance, allow geothermal, photovoltaic and infiltration systems for rainwater the original structure particularly climate friendly to operate. After the award-winning station building »Kerpen-Horrem" this is the second eco-friendly high-tech station of the pilot project "Green Station". In the original, the 695 square meter station will be completed end of 2016 - in time for the 500-year anniversary of the Reformation Wittenberg.
