Product Features and Details
Prototype: The Deutsche Bundesbahn (German federal railway) took over 134 units of the first self-unloading coal cars. The DB named these waggons OOtz 23 where the "z" character meant usage for mineral transport because the waggons were used exclusively for mineral transport from the middle of the 1940s. This is also indicated by the large "Erz II" lettering on the sides. This type of lettering was introduced in 1937 and means here "wagon must only be used for mineral transport and is 3.98 m high".
