The Royal Bavarian State Railways were always strive to adapt their fleet to the latest requirements. Therefore, 1890-1900 older covered goods wagons were completely redesigned over the years. In addition to a strengthening of the undercarriage they also got a new car body, which corresponded to the latest Bavarian types of wagon in its design. In this form, as shown on sheet 253, there were 16 cars and 53 cars without hand brakes.
