In the 1990s, the heavy duty freight cars of the Deutsche Reichsbahn were still to be found in the stock of the DB AG. The six-axle cars built in Belgium and Yugoslavia had a load-bearing capacity of 89 tones, were equipped with a Knorr standard brake and a floor-operated handbrake. However, theoriginally planned task - transporting heavytrack vehicles - meanwhile turned into more civilian use.
