1912 electrified the Royal Bavarian State Railways their first tracks. Thereby Electrical works (electrical part) were incurred for the route Freilassing-Berchtesgaden 1914 and 1915 Krauss (vehicle technical part) and Bergmann's first two German locomotives with trucks and single-axis drive. The two locomotives were originally called by Bavarian tradition as EG 4 X 1/1 and classified in the DRG as E 73.
