Prototype: After the First World War, the existence of the locomotives of the series 178 had been decimated. The BBÖ could take only 66 machines. By replicas and the acquisition of private railways locomotives built for the stock increased slightly to 85 pieces. 84 of these classified the DRG 1938 92 2211 - a 92-2294. The ÖBB called after 1945 finally another 50 locomotives their own. They were further used in shunting and operation of ports. Between 1958 and 1968, most of them dropped out and were dismantled. In Austria remained to this day four of these small machines.
