    Artitec 87.111 Highlights:

Model: Artitec's 87.111 1/87 scale M8 Scott is a resin kit and is unpainted.

Prototype: The 75 mm Howitzer Motor Carriage M8, or Scott, was a 75 mm Howitzer M2 or M3 mounted on the chassis of an M5 Stuart light tank. It was designed in early 1942 and 1,778 M8s were produced between 1942 and 1944. The intended purpose of the M8 was to give reconnaissance units fast-moving artillery support against hardened enemy fortifications. A .50 cal. Browning machine gun was mounted on top of the turret rear for antiaircraft protection. The M8 Scott went into service first in North Africa and served with Army and Marine units in Europe and Pacific for the rest of the war.
