Senior Software Engineer/Developer

We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer/Developer to work with our lead architect to bring our tech stack into 2023 and beyond and to bring the latest in e-commerce usability techniques to fruition. This is an opportunity to make contributions to a platform that serves thousands and thousands of customers and to work with the latest and greatest technologies.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of software development experience
• Experience working with Agile Methodologies, preferably Scrum
• Experience turning wireframes and mockups into clean, elegantly executed code
• Experience in C# /.NET Core or similar languages and frameworks
• Experience with Javascript frameworks, preferably Angular
• Experience with cloud native applications, preferably in Azure
• Strong understanding of REST web services
• Strong computer science and data structure fundamentals
• Strong understanding of Object Oriented (OO) design patterns
• Experience with relational databases
• Experience using source control, preferably Git

Sales & Marketing

We are seeking a highly-skilled, adaptable, and reliable sales and marketing associate to help take our company to the next level. In this position, you will be part of a dynamic team of professionals who plan and implement our sales, marketing, and advertising activities. You should be familiar with European and Domestic Models Trains and how to market and sell them over social media platforms. You will need to be able to write product descriptions and post them on our website. Good social skills are a must, because you will need to work with customers in the store, over the phone, and via email.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage daily administrative tasks.
• Conduct market research and identify new opportunities.
• Promote products over multiple social media platforms.
• Create mass e-mails to inform customers of new products & innovations.
• Write detailed product descriptions to post on the website.
• Take photographs for certain products to post on the website.

Requirements and Qualifications

• BS degree in marketing or a relevant field
• Successful work experience as a marketing associate, marketing assistant, or similar position
• Strong working knowledge of the marketing and sales industry, including digital tools and techniques.
• Some experience with SEO/SEM campaigns
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Suite, and Google or Facebook AdWords
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills

Shipping and Receiving

We are looking for an experienced shipping clerk. The shipping clerk will be responsible for processing orders, preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming shipments. Their duties include organizing inventory for easy retrieval as new orders come in, reviewing incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations and documenting damages to inventory.

Shipping and Receiving Responsibilities:

• Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
• Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables.
• Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately.
• Processes orders and packs them to be shipped
• Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments.

Shipping and Receiving Qualifications/Skills:

• Scanning and sorting incoming and outgoing stock
• Receiving, stocking, and stacking
• Pulling, packing, and loading
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong sense of time organization and urgency
• Able to work independently and within a team

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• 6 months of logistics, retail, or customer service experience
• Familiar with UPS World Ship Software
• Familiar with USPS Postal software or similar software

Model Railroad Building and Design Professional

We are seeking a high-skilled model railroad builder and designer. The individual needs to be proficient with landscaping techniques, wiring, DCC, layout design, weathering, track laying, and structure building.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum 5 Years experience with both Domestic and European Model Trains products and accessories.
• Building layouts from the ground up to completion
• Available to deliver and setup layouts to customers across the country.
• Willing to learn new techniques and experiment using new products & tools.
