The goings-on at a “Gasolin” gas station in the 1960s
• MAN tow truck (1960-67)
Cab as well as chassis, wheel and fenders in red. Interior fittings in anthracite gray. Crane unit with crane boom in silver gray. Crane hook made of metal. Square “Gasolin” logo in red on a white surface on the cab doors. Cab front with radiator grill frame painted silver and “MAN Diesel” lettering in silver. Front headlights hand-painted silver.
• Henschel HS 14/16 tank semi-truck (1961-65)
Upper and lower part of the cab in red, interior fittings in anthracite gray, chassis and wheels in red. Silver gray fifth-wheel plate. Front headlights hand-painted silver. Henschel star, Henschel lettering as well as headlight rims in the front printed silver. Square “Gasolin” logo in red on a white surface on the cab doors. Tank trailer with base frame as well as double fenders, axle mount and wheels in red. White tank top. Tank sides with red “Gasolin” lettering and black „Feuergefährlich“ lettering in front. Red “Gasolin” logo and black „Feuergefährlich“ lettering also in the rear. Running board and domed lid on top of the tank painted silver.
• Gas station with an oval roof
Gray concrete ground plate, house of the gas station attendant and pump fronts in white. Glazing in light topaz. Oval roof and pumps, oil can and water can in red. Box with cans of oil on the side also in red. First gas pump with “Gas” signage and filling level display in white and red, likewise, the “Gasolin” logo. White „Rauchen verboten“ sign. Second diesel pump with diesel signage, “Gasolin” logo and „Benzol-Gemisch“ lettering in red and white. Black “No smoking” sign. House of gas station attendant with red “Gasolin” logo on the side and “Motanol” and “Autoöl” brand signage in red and black. On the front of the attendant’s house, cash register signage in black and “Gasolin” logo on both sides. Stand-alone white “Gasolin” billboard with printed red-and-black logo and black border, inserted in concrete gray base.
• Car garage
Ground plate with checkered structure in concrete gray, red roof, side walls and rear wall in white. Transparent garage door. Billboard printed on the side with “Gasolin” logo and „Wagenpflege“ signage.
