The "P2" followed American design trend
For WIKING, it was the second Opel record that accompanied the glazed era. The "P2" was much more modern than its predecessor when it came to presenting the 1960 model of the 1960s. Straightforwardness took account of the trend to "Americanize" American Autodesign. Accordingly, the Opel Rekord P2 also enjoyed popularity as a 1: 87 miniature. WIKING revitalizes the historical forms and not only enhances the body with a deep black clear lacquering but also creates a tension-rich color contrast through the white roof reaching the C-pillar.
