This item is being produced as a one-time series for the Trix 30 Year MHI Anniversary.
Locomotive Prototype: German Federal Railroad (DB) standard design steam locomotive with a high-performance boiler, road number 01 220, 4-6-2 wheel arrangement, built starting in 1925 for the German State Railroad Company, version after modernization starting in 1959. Road number 01 220 is presently preserved as a monument locomotive in Treuchtlingen.
Locomotive Model: The frame for the locomotive and tender as well as the tender body are constructed of die-cast metal. The locomotive has a built-in DCC digital decoder and sound generator. The propulsion is in the tender. 3 axles powered. Traction tires. Firebox lights flicker by means of processor-controlled LEDs (red-orange). Warm white LEDs are used for the triple headlights, cab lighting, and running gear lights. There is an NEM coupler pocket on the end of the tender. Length over the buffers 150 mm / 5-7/8".

Passenger Cars: 4 German Federal Railroad (DB) limited stop fast train cars with the car routing Munich - Mittenwald as they looked around 1958. Two type B4ywe cars, 2nd class, one type AB4yswe car, 1st/2nd class, and one type Pw4üe baggage car.
All of the cars have a close coupler mechanism. The cars have built-in LED interior lighting. Total length over the buffers 546 mm / 21-1/2"
