Swinging in Time - "metronom" is the name for ten new bi-level trains from the metronom Railroad Company, LLC with headquarters in Uelzen. These very modern locomotives and cars can be recognized from a distance by their striking, curved design in the colors of yellow, white, and blue. "metronom" has connected the cities of Hamburg and Bremen as well as Hamburg and Uelzen as a regional express railroad since December of 2003. The train name "metronom" along with the logo of the swinging pendulum symbolizes the operations concept of departures on hourly schedules. Musicians know a metronome as a beat generator. For that reason the slogan for "metronom" trains is "Pendeln im Takt" or "Swinging in Time".
