Engineer Franz and fireman Johann had to wait for hours till the 4 breweries finally loaded up their beer cars. Luckily, the Bürgerliches Brauhaus brought an extra crate of beer for the two to shorten the waiting time. The Octoberfest in Munich was in full swing and the other Bavarian cities wanted to celebrate this royal event also. Crown Prince Ludwig, who later became King Ludwig married Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen and the whole kingdom celebrated.
We put together this exquisite Bavarian Era I branch line set. This unique set consists of one Fleischmann Bavarian Pt2/3 Locomotive with factory installed decoder, four Bavarian Beer Cars from Trix and one Fleischman Bavarian box car. Limited Production.
Locomotive Model: The Bavarain Pt2/3 is a highly detail model fitted with integrated load sensing digital DCC decoder. The loco is driven by a maintenance-free high-performance motor with flywheel. Modified chassis with wiped bearing. Metal die-cast housing. The model features many free-standing grab irons and separately applied plug-in parts. LED double headlights that switch with the direction of travel.
Freight Cars: Set includes one green Bavarian box car and four different privately owned beer cars for the breweries "Löwenbräu", "Franziskaner-Leistbräu", "Bürgerliches Brauhaus München", and "Eberlbräu München", used on the Royal Bavarian State Railways (K.Bay.Sts.B.). Version with a brakeman's cab. The cars have NEM coupler pockets with close coupler mechanisms. New tooling.
