Double headlights at each end, co-ordinated with direction of travel on tender. Close-coupling mechanism on tender end. PROFI-coupling with pre-uncoupling on tender end. PROFI-coupling with adapter for choice of mounting the coupling apparatus on the front included. Standard NEM 362 coupling socket. With standard NEM 651 socket for installation of a decoder. Epoch III. Model has built in ESU Sound Decoder.

The prototype of the FLEISCHMANN model, 03 151, was stationed at the Leipzig-West loco depot. The locomotive is fitted with the larger Wagner smoke deflectors of epoch III. Outstanding details are the smokebox door without its central locking, the aluminium coloured raised numbers, together with its typical Reichsbahn -lettering.
