Model: BEMO's DR Class 12 factory work locomotive Schmiedeberg ex class (sa. IK? is an extraordinary model. Model is all metal and handmade in Germany. Model has extensive detail and comes equipped with a coreless motor. Model also has a DCC interface.
Prototype: The (sa. IK) class locomotive was an incredible little steam locomotive which has a very interesting place in the history of Saxon narrow gauge railways. The sa IK No. 54 was restored with generous donations from various German firms and clubs. After the final assembly in Meiningen Steam Locomotive Works and the successful completion of various stress tests, the three-axle locomotive is in operation since July 2009.
