When it comes to modeling European trains one of the more popular Eras to model is Era I. Era I is desirable because it deals with many of the private state railways from the years 1835 to 1925. The Bavarian State Railways is among the most exciting private railways to model because they incorporated many unique and impessive steam locomotives. The G4/5 was such an impressive locomotive, it was the first Kreigslok (War Locomotive) used in both WWI and WWII. The G4/5was a large freight locomotive used for heavy goods transport. Like many of the Bavarian steam locomotives it was a 4 cylinder compond. Micro-Metakit's model is completely functional just like the prototype. The model has a functional and replicated 4 cylinder drive. It also features a brushless, ironless "Faulhaber" motor, full cab interior, functional boiler hatch with inner boiler details. The G4/5 is handmade out of brass and available in six versions, 60 pieces each. The G4/5 has too many technical and optical details to list. Quantities are limited so don't wait too long to order.
