| The H02 high-pressure locomotives were built by
Schwartzkopff-Loeffler in 1929. They were tested by the Reichsbahn and
then put into express service. This was the highest pressure steam locomotive
ever built, capable of boiler pressures over 2000 PS at 120 BAR, a remarkable
accomplishment considering that other large steam locomotives only produced
pressures of 1600 PS by 14 BAR. The H02 reached speeds of over 120 Km/h,
even while hauling extremely heavy express trains. Producing this model was a real challenge. The most complicated, intricate piece Micro-Metakit has ever built. New technology was used due to the extensive boiler, frame and piping work. The manufacturing process required over 700 molds and 2,000 parts! The model features a functional three-cylinder drive, full cab interior, under frame braking systems, interior boiler detail and brush less can motor etc. Only 30 will be made worldwide, we will only be receiving five of them so if you're interested in adding this gem to your collection please contact us soon, they won't last long. |
