The small DKW sedan with the touch of luxury
It was the DKW counter-concept to the road-image-dominating VW Beetle when the junior presented a mixture of sedan and sportiness. It is no wonder that WIKING also miniaturized the entry into the comfortable movement in the early 1960s. From the revitalized forms, the traditional model builders now create the Junior de Luxe. The eye-catching design with a gray roof on a pearl-white body speaks for itself. Above all, a few extras provided for talk at the 1961 IAA, the Auto Union had donated accentuated headlights to the Junior de Luxe as well as more chrome trim. WIKING has brought the small car classic with a lot of printing comfort to the scale 1:87. Body in pearl white with a gray printed roof. Chassis aluminum silver. Wheels with pearl-white wheel hub. Door handles, trims and window sills are silvered on both sides. Front and rear-side lettering "DKW Junior" or "DKW Junior de Luxe" as well as window trims are silver-plated. Hand-blown radiator grill with dust-gray-printed Auto Union rings. Pig headlights in silver, taillights painted in red by hand.
