Prototype: In 1901, Hartmann sent a total of 31 Saxon VT steam locomotives to the Saxonian railways. The engine with its rather simple and rugged design was primarily used for shunting and delivery services. The Saxon VT was driven by an Allen valve gear.
Model: The BR 89.2 Saxon VT is accurately reproduced in its original coloring and printing.
