The class V 200 diesel locomotives attracted international attention when they were placed into service. As the DB's premier locomotive they were used in important express train service.
The model has two powerful motors and the headlights / marker lights change over with the direction of travel. The locomotive also has two general-purpose electrical sockets, a DCC connector, and traction tires. It is a prototypical Era III model. Length over the buffers 67 cm / 26-3/8".
