Seven locomotives of the series V36 received extensive conversions between 1955 and 1959, in the one-man operation. Can be used. Because the ride with the rather high stem was always somewhat problematic and the view from this position was only possible to a limited extent, a pulpit was placed on the cab. The locomotive drivers could now look forward and backwards over the other cars because of their higher position. The locomotives of the V36 series were used for a wide range of services. Among other things, Deutsche Post used its own V36 with Posthorn logo for years. Also the new V36.4 was designed like the original Wehrmachts-Loks for the use in doubletraction.
