Model Details:
Prototype: The locomotives of the V180 class family were the universal locomotive of Deutsche Reichsbahn. They were built in 4-axle and 6-axle versions. The locomotive serviced the international express trains and also small short distance freight trains on international transit tracks as well as on the lines with steep gradients in Thuringian Forest and several branch lines.
The long service time and the diversity versions create several appearances. The most noticeable are the design of the driver cabin, the windows of the machine room and the painting.
A decision of the RGW stopped the manufacturing and a further development in 1970. Meanwhile 376 units were in service.
