Prototype:
The Swiss Re 460 is a modern 4 axle electric locomotive introduced on the Swiss Railways (SBB) beginning in the early 1990's. Due to it's flat body sides, SBB began renting the sidewalls of the locomotives to advertisers. Soon after, the Re460s became known as "Advertising Loks." One hundred and nineteen Re460s were produced from 1991 to 1996. They produce 8180 HP and reach a maximum speed of 120 MPH (200KPH). The Re460s were originally designed as dual purpose locomotives; pulling both freight and passenger trains. Since the mid 2000's, they have been used almost exclusively for passenger trains; often pulling IC2000 double decker consists. Nearly all Re460s are named for a town or region of Switzerland.
