Product Features and Details
This compact and sporty small car is the first four-door hatchback of the young automobile marque, Smart. The outer appearance already suggests the well-known Smart family, but also ensures this model uses the proven Tridion as part of the passenger safety system. The Forfour offers driving fun with its “active drive” chassis, with which each of the 5 engines (3 gasoline and 2 Diesel variants) are coordinated. The Forfour comes with a standard five-speed gearbox, but there is also an optional “softouch” automatic transmission. As with the Smart City Coupé, buyers can choose between plastic roof or panorama glass roof, as well as a solenoid operated glass sunroof. The spacious interior is also typical of the Smart car line. In crash tests, the Forfour far exceeds the legal requirements, owing to the modular coordinated safety system
