Prototype: The "Österreichische Mineralölverwaltung Aktiengesellschaft" (ÖMV) (Austrian mineral oil administration plc.) was established in 1956 from the "Sowjetischen Mineralölverwaltung" (SMV) (Soviet mineral oil administration) that was controlled by the Soviet occupying power. In 1960, a refinery belonging to the company was commissioned in Schwechat, close to Vienna. For the transport of crude oil and finished products, ÖMV utilised ÖBB tank wagons as P wagons and, in some cases, placed advertising materials on the tank.
