Prototype: Up until the middle of the 1970s, the twin-axle war tank wagons were indispensable in the inventory of mineral oil companies and wagon leasing companies. Alongside the large companies such as Shell, Texaco and Esso, many smaller chemical companies also used these wagons. In addition to the adjustment to the technical standard (e.g. roller bearings), many customers also invested in new, striking promotional paint coats. The Valvoline Motor Oil company created a new font just for this. From this point on, Esso and Texaco advertised their products with colourful tank paint jobs.
