Prototype: Following the end of the war, some German war tank wagons also remained in Italy. FS (Italian State Railways) integrated them into its inventory and adapted them to its requirements. In addition to the replacement of the German standard parts with Italian ones (e.g. buffers and axle bearings), it was the new paint coat that was primarily noticeable. FS tank wagons were almost exclusively painted in an aluminium colour.
